City to face top of the league - Saturday - 3pm

Worcester City will be looking to continue their impressive recent home form, but face tough opposition in top of the table AFC Fylde, who visit The Victoria Ground on Saturday afternoon.

Worcester return home having had two trips to Curzon Ashton in the last week. The league fixture last weekend was called off only an hour before kick off, due to a frozen pitch. City then returned to Curzon Ashton's Tameside Stadium on Monday in the FA Trophy, winning 1-2, securing a 1st Round tie against York City. They go into the weekend 13th in the Vanarama National League North standings.

The Blue And White's have been free scoring at home so far this season, having won four of their last five league games at The Victoria Ground, scoring 16 goals in the process. Top scorer Lee Hughes will be hoping to add to his 12 goals so far this campaign.

City will have the benefit of being able to choose from a fully fit and available squad with no injuries or suspensions, apart from defender James Chambers, who's still out with a hamstring injury.

AFC Fylde are flying high at the top of the 2016/17 Vanarama National League North, having lost just one league game all season, but come into this fixture on a poor run of form away from home, having won just once in their last four away league games.

They boast the league's top goalscorer Danny Rowe in their ranks, the former Lincoln City and Stockport County striker has scored an impressive 28 goals so far in this campaign.
