A brief update following last night’s AGM.

Worcester City Football Club’s Annual General Meeting was held last night at The Whitehouse Hotel in Worcester. This was followed by a presentation to supporters. Thank you to everyone who turned up.

In addition to receiving the accounts for the period to 31st May 2015 and appointing its Auditors for next year, Shareholders elected the following as Directors of the Company:

  • Anthony, Hampson
  • Colin Layland
  • Mike Davis
  • Rob Crean
  • Carl Heeley
  • Martin Pinches
  • Jeremy Pitt,
  • Joe Murphy
  • Mark Wilcox.

Unfortunately, Julian Pugh decided not to seek election due to work and personal commitments. The Board is grateful to Julian for his contribution in his short time as a Director and know that Julian will continue to support the Club behind the scenes as he has always done.

At its next Board meeting, Directors will be invited to elect the Club’s Chairman and Vice-Chairman from the list of Directors.

As part of the general presentation, supporters were given an update from the Chairman on the Football Club. Rob Crean updated supporters on the Perdiswell Planning application, Mark Wilcox outlined the excellent progress being made by our youth teams and Carl spoke about the playing squad and footballing matters.

A number of messages came out of last night’s meeting

If you are a shareholder the Club really needs you to provide an email contact address so that we can contact you more easily in the future. Many addresses were given last night but if you couldn’t attend, perhaps you could forward your contact details to The Company Secretary so that these may be collated.

Additionally, our share register is becoming very dated so if shareholders have moved address or if they believe that a relative who is no longer with us previously held shares in the company please get in touch so that we can make arrangements to transfer any shares and update the Share Register.

Fund Raising and the need for volunteers is another area where we desperately need supporters to get involved. You don’t need any experience, simply an enthusiasm to get involved and help your Football Club. Anyone wishing to get involved can email Mike Davis or speak to any Director on match days. Whatever time you are able to give will be greatly appreciated.

Finally all supporters can sign up to receive regular updates from the Club. To do this simply log onto our website and register to receive updates and alerts.
