Bromsgrove station, which reopened after a £24m revamp in July, will be shut until the 6th November, Network Rail have confirmed.
The works will allow the line to be electrified, which train companies say will increase capacity and reliability.
Services between Birmingham, Hereford, Worcester, south Wales and south-west England will have an amended timetable in place.
London Midland will run a replacement bus service between Bromsgrove, Droitwich Spa and Longbridge.
