North Ferriby United v Worcester City - Saturday 31st January 3pm Kick Off

City head to North Ferriby for the second time this season tomorrow for a Vanarama Conference North League Match.

The previous visit was back in December when Ferriby very kindly allowed City to train at the Ground before the match at Scunthorpe United in the FA Cup, a gesture for which Carl Heeley & the Team were extremely grateful for.

A pitch inspection is planned at 9am & we will bring any news as soon as possible.

City go into the game with Nathan Vaughan returning to the squad after missing Tuesdays win over Oxford City due to work commitments. Another player back in the squad is Danny Jackman who also missed Tuesday but with a tight hamstring. Nick Wright could make the trip depending on whether he has recovered from a virus & Sean Geddes who was brought off early against Oxford as a precaution should be fit to start.

City Manager Carl Heeley has made it clear that City will be concentrating on each game as it comes after the recent barren spell and the play off places are not something discussed within the Team.

City won 2-1 back in August when the sides last met at Aggborough with Daniel Nti scoring both goals from the penalty spot.

The Eon Visual Media Stadium is within site of the Humber Bridge & The Villagers are currently in 10th position in the Vanarama Conference North, level on points and one place ahead of City.

Ferriby are the North division’s draw specialists with 11 draws from their 26 League games. A very tight game could be in prospect.

Ferriby have won three and drawn three of their last six games & both sides are just six points of the final promotion play-off spot. They are in a buoyant mood after last Saturday’s FA trophy win at Farnborough. The win put The Villagers in the quarter-finals for the second successive year. They will play either Ebbsfleet ot Braintree on Saturday 7th March at the Eon Visual Media Stadium.

The goals at Farnborough came from Tom Denton and Ryan Kendall.

Ferriby manager Billy Heath will have his full squad to choose from apart from the injured Danny Emerton and Nathan Jarman.

There will be live commentary with BBC Hereford & Worcester & the usual updates on Twitter @worcestercityfc & via The Worcester News.
