City 1 Solihull Moors 4

City were soundly beaten 4-1 by Solihull Moors at Aggborough tonight.

City came out of the traps looking like they were in for a good night but the early good work was undone in the space of three first half minutes.

These two goals in quick succession came to epitomise City’s evening, with an unfortunate own goal from Wayne Thomas making it three in the 67th minute.

City did, however, manage to get on the score sheet when Daniel Nti’s scuffed shot became a fruitful cross for substitute Aaron Brown when he nodded home on 74 minutes.

This was to prove just a consolation though and all hopes of a comeback were ended when Omar Bogle, who had been physical and threatening all night, gave Solihull their fourth with a deflected free kick with 10 minutes left of regulation time remaining.
