Two players are to move on this Summer

Both Clayton McDonald and Tristian Dunkley are to leave Worcester City Football Club.

Clayton McDonald was not offered a contract extension and has been released, whilst Tristian Dunkley has opted not to sign on for the 2016/17 campaign, following a new offer from the club.

Speaking on the news, manager Carl Heeley said, "Both Clayton and I felt that last season didn't work out how we expected it to and as a result, we have opted to release Clayton.

"We both felt frustrated, but, he never missed a training session, his attitude was spot on and I commend his professionalism. I wish Clayton all the best."

Heeley continued, "Unfortunately, Tristian Dunkley has decided not to re-sign this season. I made Tristan an offer, a good offer considering his unavailability over the last few seasons, and I was disappointed to receive a text message from him declining the deal.

"We pride ourselves on treating all of our players incredibly well and I'm mightily disappointed that he couldn't find the time to pick up the phone and have a conversation. For me, it's not acceptable. It's left a bit of a bitter taste the way he has left the football club, if I'm honest.

"We won't be making an improved offer, so we expect Tristan to move on."

Worcester City Football Club wish Clayton and Tristian all the best in their future endeavors.
