"I have been advised by Carl that he wishes to tender his resignation from the Board of Directors of Worcester City Football Club Limited. Reluctantly I have accepted his decision and notified Companies House.

We all know that Carl has a high profile job which he balances alongside the significant demands managing the First Team.

Clearly, recent events mean that the demands of dealing with the football side are more challenging and he genuinely feels that he is unable to devote the necessary time to fulfill his responsibilities as a Director. I have reluctantly accepted this resignation as I believe that it is in the best interests of the Football Club to allow him to concentrate his energies on First Team Football activities.

The negative reporting associated with the Club is clearly having a very damaging effect, none more so than on Carl and the Team. Despite the obvious differences we have at the moment I believe we all have a duty to give Carl our undivided support.

I take my responsibilities as Chairman seriously and I have today emailed the Supporters’ Trust Chairman and Secretary offering what I believe to be a way forward to unify the Club and allows it to move forward.

It is my sincere hope that they give this offer serious consideration."
