Worcester City FC Announce The Arrival Of New First Team Coach

Worcester City Football Club are delighted to announce the arrival of new first team coach, Ian King.

Ian will join manager, Carl Heeley, and newly appointed assistant manager, John Snape, in a staff restructure after the departure of Matt Gardiner to Kidderminster Harriers.

King, who is 41 and based in Daventry, comes with a great reputation and knowledge of the game. In his playing days, he was a skillful wide midfielder, who played against Heeley and Snape on numerous occasions. After beginning as a youngster at Aston Villa, Ian moved on to Stoke City. Following his time at Stoke, Ian went on to play for the likes of Rushden and Diamonds, Stevenage FC and Nuneaton Borough before finishing his career at semi-professional level in Australia.

Ian will combine his full-time job in football education with his role at City bringing a great range of contacts from within the game.

We would like to extend a warm welcome to Ian and wish him every success in his time with the club.
