City put to the sword by Carver

City fall to their fourth defeat of the season against Lancashire side, Chorley.

The first half was a lively and entertaining affair with Chekaine Steele, Danny Jackman and Tyler Weir all putting in commanding performances, but City just couldn't break past The Magpies back line.

The deadlock was broken in the 69th minute when Marcus Carver turned Tom Sharpe and broke in to the box, flicking the ball over Draper in the City goal.

City failed to put Chorley keeper, Sam Ashton under any real pressure as the half wore on.

Late on, Carver smashed the post for the visitors after breaking free on the left, beyond Andy Gallinagh at right-back.

Attendance: 623

City look to go again on Monday, when they travel to Stockport County. 3pm Kick Off.
