The first half was an even affair with chances at both ends.
City had numerous great opportunities to take the lead, both Ebby Nelson-Addy and Richard Batchelor involved but the final ball was lacking on each occasion.

The deadlock was broken in the 41st minute with a brilliantly struck Danny Lloyd free kick, curling in to the top left corner.
City were frustrated at the referees decision to award the free kick, as Richard Batchelor appeared to win the ball cleanly.

The second half was a much more one sided affair with all the pressure coming from Stockport. Amis had numerous chances to finish the game off with his head, but didn't make any of them count.
Brave goal keeping from Ethan Ross denied Stockport a 2nd late on as Marsden was through with acres of space. Ross charged out and dived at his feet, saving well.

The game ended 1-0 to The Hatters.
