Worcester City FC today announce the departure of Daniel Nti to Vanarama National League newcomers, York City FC.

Nti who has just completed his third campaign as a city player has made his desire known to pursue a full-time career in the game and the opportunity for him to do this has been offered to him by York. York City have agreed to pay £4,000 in compensation to the club as the player is still under the age of 24 and therefore falls under the Bosman ruling. The deal will also see the club be the recipient of a 15% sell on clause of any future profit should the player be transferred again.

Manager Carl Heeley said “although it is disappointing and slightly frustrating to sign and help develop players to then lose them, that is football and it happens to clubs at all levels. It is another example of the staff at the club who have all played a part in helping Daniel achieve his long term goal and I know he has a strong affection and gratefulness for our efforts and the faith shown in him. Daniel has given us some great memories and we would like to wish him well at York City FC and he will always be welcome should he wish to visit us again”

Worcester City Football Club wish Daniel Nti all the best in the future.
