City v Hednesford Town (Take 2) Saturday 24th January 3pm Kick Off

Saturday Football is back at Aggborough and Hednesford Town are now the opponents for City in place of AFC Fylde who are still involved in the FA Trophy.

City originally played The Pitmen on Boxing Day but the game was abandoned with 15 minutes remaining due to the conditions on the pitch caused by the bad weather. The score was 0-3 to Hednesford when the Referee brought proceedings to a halt.

The Pitmen come into the game on the back of one loss in nine, including four wins and the 0-0 draw v City on New Years Day which is the only point gained by City in the past four games.

City will be pleased to be back playing on a Saturday after failing to score in a month of Sundays and welcome back Aaron Brown to the Club, who has been brought in by City Boss Carl Heeley to add back to City's attacking flair which has decreased since the departure of George Williams. The added loss of Tyler Weir due to injury and Jordan Murphy returning to Walsall has added to City's recent woes.

The good news is that City still sit midway in the table and with games in hand are still in a decent position, despite the recent lack of recent form, sitting six points behind 6th placed Hednesford but with three games in hand.

Danny Jackman could drop to left back for City to make way for Aaron Brown going straight into the Midfield and with Wayne Thomas back in the squad, Carl Heeley will at least have options.

Both Clubs have agreed, as a good will gesture to supporters following the abandonment, for reduced admission prices, whilst ensuring that associated costs can be covered. Therefore admission prices for Saturday’s Conference North fixture will be as follows:

£11 Adults
£7 Concessions (over 60s & unemployed – with current ID)
£4 Young Adults (16 - under 21 - with current ID)
£1 Juniors (under 16)

WCFC Season Ticket Holders to use Cup Voucher 3 and
WCFC 10 Match Season Ticket Holders to use a normal match voucher.

The game will be segregated as with the original game on Boxing Day, with Hednesford Town Supporters in the South Terrace Standing and part of the East Stand Seating (price is the same foe either area).

There will be live Match Commentary with BBC Hereford & Worcester on AM 738 and the usual updates via Twitter and The Worcester News.
