It's a top of the table clash this weekend as City head to Wiltshire to face Corsham Town in a Saturday, 3pm kick-off.

Following City's 4-1 away victory over Lydney Town in midweek, Chris Cornes' side are currently three points ahead of Saturday's hosts in the Hellenic League table, still with a game in hand. A win would widen that gap to six points.

Corsham were the division's early pace-setters and were unbeaten until October. They were beaten at home by Roman Glass St George 1-0 to end that run, and last weekend drew 0-0 with our own local rivals Worcester Raiders. Before those two most recent results Corsham had won eight of the opening eleven games of the campaign, but have had a mid-week break with no fixture.

City impressed yet again midweek, particularly in the first half when going in 3-0 up, before running out 4-1 winners. Dylan Hart marked a return to the starting line-up in style with a hat-trick, further emphasising Cornes' attacking strength. Skipper Adam Mace also scored his first competitive goal for the club, the opener on the night, with a brilliant free kick.

The Faithful were delighted to see the return of Connor Gater to the starting line-up, and he impressively lasted the full 90 minutes on his return from injury. Tuesday night also saw the return of Brad Birch to the club as a second half substitute. This signing and the return of Gater further reinforce midfield options, where Belmonte and Dinsley have both particularly impressed in those spots in the absence of Gater.

This week also saw Kyle Belmonte win the Player of the Month Award as voted for by City supporters across social media.

Elliott Hartley has now started City's last five league fixtures in a row, seemingly making the right hand spot in the front three his own of late. Liam Lockett continues to impress on the opposite flank, and both were two of the other three nominations alongside Belmonte for player of the month, joined by Calvin Dinsley.

Izak Reid seems to have enjoyed being played in the number 10 spot in recent weeks, and the main rotation has been in at number 9. Dylan Hart and Jamie Insall have both been amongst the goals recently, and with the return of Kyonn Evans recently, it gives Cornes a good headache heading into this one.

Saturday's fixture will be played at Southbank, Lacock Road, Corsham, SN13 9HS. Admission is £8 for Adults (16+) and £6 for Concessions (65+), with Children under 16 charged at £1.
